How YourSystem created a one-of-a-kind platform to build one-of-a-kind products
Off-the-shelf software won’t cut it when you’re not an off-the-shelf company. By selling unique, customized products, YourSystem soon realized they needed software that was just as flexible as their assembly line.

About YourSystem by Century
YourSystem is a technology company designed to solve the customization of decoration products, like sofas and tables, on scale as a B2B marketplace.
YourSystem is a company from the Century Group, one of the largest high-end sofa manufacturers in Latam.
A unique sort of problem
YourSystem’s business model is tricky to scale
When manufacturing customized luxury furniture, a lot of good practices from traditional industries just don’t apply anymore. Factories usually work with standard products, which can be mass produced, shipped to warehouses and easily priced according to demand estimates. The supply chain for custom items, however, is reversed: a specific request from a customer must be first quoted and approved. Only then the manufacturing begins.
This can be a profitable endeavor, of course, but usually comes with the price of a slow, traditional sales model that works against rapid growth. Customers must first ask for quotes, which then have to be elaborated taking into account what materials are available and how complicated the assembly process will be. Small errors, such as quoting an add-on for an incompatible model, can delay a deal for days, or even outright lose it.
Offline to Online
YourSystem had a lot of experience dealing with an adaptable assembly line and was confident they could make everything inside the factory run as smoothly as possible. However, they knew that if they wanted to grow fast they would need software that could automate the complex quoting rules and make their sales process fast and integrated. Everything, from customer orders to finishing a sofa, should run as a continuous, efficient pipeline.
Of course, YourSystem’s team knew how powerful and efficient customization could be, especially when you have a good foundation for it. They decided that they needed a platform designed for their own specific needs, and knew there would be no better engine for this assembly line than Jestor.
”Our sales have grown over 60% last year. We know firsthand that customization is king when it comes to achieving results. Standard software could only solve some of our problems partially, and not in the way we wanted. Jestor allowed us to build a unique solution that’s not only exactly what we needed, it’s also just as adaptable as we pride ourselves to be.”

From custom to customer
When designing their platform, YourSystem had to take every piece of their processes and rearrange them into a continuous, connected solution. Things had to be fast and easy to use for the end-user, as the sales process for customized items can already be inherently complicated.
Jestor’s flexibility allowed them to not only build a back-office tool that worked perfectly, but also seamlessly integrate it to a portal with a dedicated interface. This means Jestor didn’t only let them figure out “what” to do, but focus on “how” to do it best.
Before 55 min: Printed lists had all the possible combinations of product configuration for price consultation Salespeople manually took in customer requests and then reached out to the factory to confirm what customizations were available for an item, as well as elaborate a quote with the proper pricing for all the modifications. | After 7 min: The store can customize products online and check all the combinations Orders are taken through a dedicated portal where salespeople can add products and customize them real-time. There are set rules for allowed customizations and price is recalculated with each modification. |
Salespeople had to collect each order going to the store in person Transactions were mostly offline. Once the customer approved a quote, they had to pay it physically at the store or other traditional payment methods, creating a paper trail that was hard to keep track and follow up on. | Clients can buy with an Amazon-like experience The customer is charged through a payment platform integration, with all the necessary info (total amount, number of installments, due dates) coming from Jestor as soon as the quote is approved by the customer. This keeps data organized, and helps YourSystem keep a more active approach to finance. |
Salespeople didn’t have time to show new products or coach clients on new technologies Having a more bureaucratic process didn’t encourage salespeople in furniture stores to sell more of YourSystem’s custom items when they could be focusing on instantaneous deals. | Salespeople are now considered experts on decoration and furniture Ease of use and automation makes selling YourSystem items even easier than standard items, creating an incentive for partners to sell more and helping the brand gain a technological edge over competitors. |
TLDR: YourSystem created a perfectly integrated solution that helped them sell more, keep processes running smoothly and take an even more active role in the financial transactions.
“Jestor allowed us to integrate absolutely everything. Stores, office, factory. Every part of the supply chain is connected through Jestor, making a complex operation run with textbook efficiency, if not better.”

Full control
The best part of creating their own unique solution in Jestor is that YourSystem maintains full control of what their platform is, and can continue to improve it for what they want it to be. As the company keeps evolving and growing, processes tend to shift and change. With a traditional ERP, any change, if at all possible, would be achieved through expensive projects and extensive deadlines. With Jestor, any change they want to make can be done instantaneously.
Not only that, their platform is fully able to take in any sort of rule they wish to create. So, should they decide that a specific store should not be able to sell a certain modification for a given product, or wish to further specify the access levels of managers and salespeople, they can do so by themselves. Building in Jestor didn’t cement their processes as they were: they are still just as flexible as before.
Tech enabled growth
YourSystem’s business model is one that’s traditionally hard to scale up: physical products, custom orders, no mass production. Even so, they were confident enough in their expertise that they knew they could grow fast if they had the tech to help them.
Jestor allowed them to create custom processes and automations to iron out the problems their industry faced, transforming bureaucratic, sluggish processes that slowed down sales into delightful to use solutions. Now, they don’t have to worry about pre-factory bottlenecks in the process and can focus on doing what they do best: crafting beautiful and comfortable high-end products.
YourSystem found in Jestor a perfect fit: a platform that is as powerful, flexible and customizable as they are.
