Adding a Miro board to a dashboard – no code required
When executing projects or creating workflows for your company, it really helps to have a tool that lets you visualize the core concepts and steps to completion. In that regard, Miro provides an extremely useful platform where you can create a myriad of designs, from flowcharts to mind maps. However, a common problem with those tools is how they can be somewhat isolated from other platforms, segregating the creative part from the data and day-to-day decision making.
We’ll teach you how to integrate a Miro board to a dashboard to bridge this gap and have a board accessible without having to leave your app.

2 Steps to Add a Miro board to a dashboard – no code required
1. Create an embeddable HTML code for your board.
Go to one of your boards in Miro. Now, click on the Export button on the top left corner, right next to the board name. From there, click on “Embed”: this should provide you with an HTML code for the file. You can also edit things like the width and height of the embedded board.
2. Create an app to see the board.
Create an app in Jestor and name it “Board App”. We’ll build one component in this app: an embedded component that shows our board.
- Embedded: click on the + icon, then Embedded. Name it “Board”, then paste the code you got in step one.
Resize the component to your liking and save.
You will now be able to browse the board directly from the app. What’s cool about this is that you have a mini version of the Miro board that is fully interactive, meaning you can not only check information, but edit things and work directly from the dashboard. This means that, depending on the other components you’ve placed on your app, you’ll always have the most updated data to make informed decisions when working on a project.
