How to automatically sync Trello with jestor using Zapier
In this tutorial we’ll help you synchronize Trello with jestor using Zapier.
In the case below, the customer has access to Trello, creates requests and communicates with the commercial team through it. This is a cool structure for your client and for your commercial team, but it’s not ideal for your financial team or the team of developers, for example.
Connecting the two platforms, when a card is opened in Trello, it will also appear in jestor so the other teams can use it, such as finance, developers, and they have all the benefits and features of jestor.

1º) Open Trello. On a Projects board, create three sections: New, In Progress, Finished.
2º) Open your jestor, click on the “+” icon on the left menu, choose the option “Table”, name it “Trello projects” and click on “Create”. Add new fields by clicking on the column header with a “+” and following the steps below:
- Add a single selection field, name it “Status” and add the items on the list: “New”, “Monthly billing”, “Closed”.
- Change the table mode to Kanban mode by clicking on the button in the upper right corner and selecting any single selection field to activate a kanban view. In this case, we’ll use the “Status” field.
3º) Go to Zapier. You can open it through jestor by clicking on the “Zapier’‘ button on the left menu.
4º) In “Search for apps to connect”, look for Trello and click on the connect button next to it.
5º) In “Select a trigger”, select “New Card”. In “Select an action”, select “Create Record”. Then, click on “Connect jestor + Trello”.
6º) In “Choose an a account…”, select your account and click on “Continue”.
7º) To set up the trigger, in “Board”, select your project board. In “List”, select “New”. In “Filter”, choose “Open” and click on “continue”.
8º) Go back to Trello and create a new card. Return to Zapier and click on “Test trigger”. If the information appears correctly, click on “Continue”.
9º) In “Action Event”, select “Create Record” and click again to continue.
10º) In “Choose an account …”, select your account and click on “Continue”.
11º) In “Choose value…”, select the option “Trello Project”.
12º) In the new fields presented, set up as follows:
- Name;
- Select the title card.
- Client (only in case of a specific customer);
- Enter the company/client name.
- Status.
- Type “New”.
Click on “Continue” and then in “Test & Continue”.
13º) Go to jestor and check if the card was created correctly. If everything is right, go back to Zapier and click on the “Turn on Zap” button.
