How to use Jestor + Zapier to automatically register leads
Zapier is a no-code platform that connects apps and automates workflows without coding knowledge
How to set up new automatic lead entries:
1º) Open your jestor account. Create a new tab for your leads, then add new fields to put a name, email and email body message.
2º) Open your Zapier account, then click on “Make a New Zap.
3º) First we’ll set up the Trigger. On “Search apps”, look for your email provider ( in this case gmail). Choose the trigger “New Email” and then “Continue”. You’ll then have to connect your email account to Zapier.
4º) On “Set Up Trigger”, choose the filters you want to use. After that, click on “Continue” to finish setting up the trigger!!
5º) Now on “Action” you’ll search in “App Event” for “Webhooks by Zapier”. After that, in “Action Event”, choose “Post” then “Continue”.
6º) Now we’ll create the webhook on jestor. Open your jestor account and click on your account name on the left, then click on “Developer”. On this page, click on “Webhooks” in the left menu.
7º) In this new page, click on the upper right button “+ Create Webhook”. On “Type”, choose “Object” and in “Object” choose the name of the tab you created, in this case “Leads”. Check “Active” and click on the button “Create”.
8º) After creation, both the webhook information and its URL will be displayed. Copy the webhook URL and go back to Zapier. Paste webhook URL on the “URL” field and then on “Payload Type”, choose “JSON”.
9º) In the field “Data”, put “Name” on the left side and choose “1. From Name” on the right side.
Click on “+” on the right side and create a field, write “E-mail” and the “Data” will be “1. From Email”.
Do the same process for “Body Message”, choosing “1.Body Plain” from the email. Then, click on “Continue”.
10º) In this new page, click on “Test and Continue” and press “Turn on Zap”. Your automation is now on!
To perform a test, send an email to yourself. In jestor, the requests history will be displayed on the Webhook page (it can take a few minutes).
Tip: if you have a ‘list’ type field on jestor, you can click on the “Kanban” option on the right side of the screen to see your table as a workflow.
